This is where you will find out a little about me.
After reading this page, you will have some idea of whether
or not,
you'd like to get to know me better;-)

Don't know how much you want to know, but I like to write, so here goes.

I live on the north end of the first hill past the Duwamish waterway as you come west across the big bridge on the West Seattle Freeway. Locals call it Pigeon Hill. I haven't yet seen one, so I don't know why. I work just 2.1 miles from where I live, so the commute isn't too bad.
The following link will take you to my personal page at work. (and the link is the same as my e-mail address at work.

Anyway, at work I am the guy who does whatever needs doing. I rarely write articles any more. Many other jobs that have fallen to me in place of writing. I am sometimes involved in putting together some of the copy for new products, and I put together the "Books For Traders" page. There is a page named "Futures Liquidity" that is built by yours truly. After the magazine is published each month I calculate the column inches for payment. Also, if it is anything of a mechanical nature, "Oh Bruce......??"

One of my biggest areas of responsibility is exchanging links with other financial companies on the internet. The authors of the articles we use in the magazine often 'forget' to send in the copyright release forms. So every month one of my jobs is to contact that month's authors and get them to send in the forms. Basically, whatever the editorial department needs done, I do it.

On A Personal Note

I was married from 8/68 to 12/82, legally separated until 6/87 and free since then. I am, or at least used to be, 5'10", (actually 10 1/2", but guys often say they are taller than they really are, so I try to balance the world a little by saying I'm a little shorter) I have just gotten one of them new fangled Auto-bikes, so I am looking forward to increasing my metabolism riding around a bit. I live about two miles from the Alki Point/Beach area and I sometimes enjoy walking along the Sound. As I do enjoy eating I am somewhat heavier than I should be and it really upsets me because I can't stand it on me or others. I don't think it is bad enough to cause you to run screaming from the room, (Though I know there is always the chance of a first.) but it is bad enough that I don't like it. My life as a Sagittarian began in 1941. You do the math. Nobody will believe you anyway. I have lived in much of the Midwest, in Oregon twice, also Juneau, AK in addition to the Seattle area. I am a night person.

Knowing some of the following will help in seeing me as I see myself: I am honest, (sometimes more than I should be) humorous (tending toward risque as a preference), romantic (hopelessly so), curious, creative, persistent, generous and openly affectionate, especially to those who make my heart go pit-a-pat.

As the song says, these are a few of my favorite things: Loving someone who is loving to me in return, writing poetry, short stories and letters, photography (my avocation), dancing, good movies, most kinds of music (some of the stuff one hears these days can not, in all truth, be called music), good food, the Oregon Coast (my favorite place in the world is Shore Acres State Park, just south of the little town of Charleston), talking on the phone and driving.

I also enjoy most seafood, solving puzzles & problems, sushi, sunsets, tennis (I'm not very good, but I do like to beat the ball around). I really enjoy fishing, even though I haven't taken the time to go lately, making audio and video tapes, walking (and even some day hiking), but I am not a camper. (If I can't get a hot shower and sleep in a bed free of rocks and sticks, I ain't interested!!!) Cooking, electronic gadgets and nice small cars are also a pleasure source.

Besides smoking, there are other some other real turn-offs for me that include drugs, obesity, organized religion, TV game shows, (but I repeat myself), stupidity, wastefulness, bad drivers, (especially those ones who get in the fast lane and won't let anyone pass), noisy-ill-behaved children, drunkenness, hypocrisy and violence or horror stories & movies. Doing the dishes and painting also fall into my least favorite things bag.

My strikeouts in life have left me not eager to step up to the plate again, though if I truly thought the right person had came along I could be persuaded to take another swing.

I tend to pick basically good people to get to know, and I try to build friendships that do not end, even should the relationship turn out to be less than what was hoped for. As a result, I have many very good friends. And, as I never date guys, most of them are f
